Childcare starts from as little as $4.80 per hour per child, however this can vary depending on what your Educator is charging.
Parents/whanau may be eligible for a WINZ childcare Subsidy
When you enrol, your co-ordinator will help you fill in the appropriate forms and point you in the right direction regarding Childcare Subsidies.
At the end of each financial year you will be eligible for a tax rebate for childcare fees paid.
Do you qualify for Childcare Subsidy?
If you are working or studying you may receive up to 50 hours per week on subsidy. Please ring to discuss this to save you money.

What parents need to supply for your child while in care with an Educator
As parents you will supply your own child's food, drink, (or water will be supplied) nappies, wet wipes and changes of clothes. Please expect your child to get dirty and messy, as we provide an educational environment. Please ensure you have enough changes of clothes and that they arrive in care with clothes that are acceptable for childcare. Educators will not be held responsible for stained or ruined clothing if you have not supplied this. Please ensure that you have supplied enough nappies incase there aren't enough for your Educator.
BJ’s Homebased Childcare Services offer flexible hours to suit you and your family. Please ensure that you collect your child at your booked time or that you contact your Educator as soon as possible. We will of course always try and accommodate your needs the best way we can. Educators will have their homes checked on a regular basis to ensure our safety requirements are being met at all times. Also the coordinator will be doing observations of your child at the same time.
We offer childcare for children/tamariki in private homes by Educators. The hours are flexible to suit you and your family. All the Educators are carefully selected and undergo a thorough police check before they start caring for your child. BJ's also offer ongoing course training and First Aid for their Educators. There is also a selection of Educators who range from having an Early Childhood Education certificate right up to having a Diploma of Teaching, (prices may increase for Educators holding a Diploma of Teaching Qualification).
